Here are our Ts & Cs for any service we provide, including House Sitting, Dog Walking & Boarding with us

Health / Vaccinations
  • You are required to advise Small Companion Lodging (SCL), in advance of booking and as part of this contract, of ALL health related information, no matter how small of an issue it may seem, relating to your pet. Should you fail to do this and/or we deem the animal as unfit to stay with us, SCL has the right to refuse acceptance of the pet. Money already paid will be non-refundable.

  • To ensure the safety of all pets we look after, please advise us in advance of any health or medical conditions of your pets. Any failure to do so could result in us no longer able or willing to care for your pets. We also reserve the right to cancel our contract with you with immediate effect.

  • Please note that pets will not be mixed but may share the same space to exercise in.

  • To ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care, appropriate vaccination certificates are required for Rabbits:

    • We carry out frequent bottom checks and ensure that all rabbits are kept clean however we will not be held liable in the unfortunate event that your rabbit becomes a victim of fly strike.

    • We will not be held responsible for any illnesses such as (but not limited to) Myxomatosis, Viral Haemorrhagic Disease, Fly strike, Mites or any other diseases.

    • PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCEPT RABBITS THAT HAVE NOT HAD BOTH VACCINATIONS.

    • VHD/RHD & Myxomatosis - Please bring certificates on arrival.

  • Should your pet become ill whilst boarding with us, during house sitting, dog walking or whilst in our care, we will seek advice from our local vet at a cost to you, and any veterinary fees which we incur on your behalf will be payable by you on your return. SCL also reserves the right to charge for the trip to and from the vets as well as time spent there (£40 for every hr). Should your pet require regular medication we will be happy to provide this for the duration of the stay at an additional cost to you. We will advise you of the additional charge to you or give you the option to make alternative arrangements. The boarding fees will be non-refundable and must be fully paid.

  • In the unlikely event of a death occurring whilst your pet is boarding with us, we will notify you as soon as possible so that we can arrange for your final wishes. We accept no liability in the unlikely event that your pet becomes ill or passes away whilst boarding with us. All pets are left entirely at their owner’s risk.

Services
  • Please note that we offer two types of services: 1) BASIC and 2) ALL INCLUSIVE.

    • The Basic package limits anyone bringing a cage to the following size restrictions. Cages cannot be larger than 120cm x 40 cm x 60 cm. Anything larger or different shape, please get in touch with us prior to bookingto check if we can accommodate. 

    • The All Inclusive package SCL will provide the necessary cage for your animal. If you have specific requirements, please get in touch and check prior to booking 

  • Package options provided include regular updates on your pet while you are away, free of charge, and are included in this agreement.

  • Full payment has to be received at the time of booking.

  • We also work for the RSPCA and Hounslow Animal Welfare Society and have completed the Health & Safety training course as well as the induction course for Small Animal Carers. Therefore be assured that your pet is in safe hands.

  • Whilst your pet is in our care we provide the food and bedding where instructed. Your pet will be fed top quality farm hay and branded dried food. The cages will be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis.

  • Pets will not mix with other boarders & will be stroked, groomed and checked regularly.

  • Pets collected or dropped off must be fully secured by the ‘owner’ and are in transit fully at owner’s risk. SCL assures to take as much care as possible of the animal but cannot accept any liability in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents etc.

  • Drop off / collection - SCL and yourself will arrange a mutually suitable drop off / collection slot (30mins allocated). Should you fail to make your slot and you have not rearranged a mutually agreeable time with us in advance, SCL has the right to:

    1. Refuse acceptance of your pet

    2. Charge £40 for every 30mins you are late

    3. Reschedule drop off time at SCL's discretion

Payments & Cancellations
  • Full payment for lodging, dog walking, house sitting and/or any additional services requested must be paid on day the day of the booking in cash, BACS or via Paypal.

  • Cancellations are generally not possible and are at complete discretion by management. Should you need to cancel or want to amend your stay once boarding has already commenced, the fees paid are none refundable and no credit notes can be given. We reserve the space for you and your pet. In the event you change your mind it is highly unlikely we will find someone to replace your space which was reserved for you. We thank you for your understanding.

  • Overdue payment fees will be incurred if you fail to pay your boarding costs, and other other services booked as part of your pets stay, prior to the day of arrival. An automatic overdue fee of £40 will be due. SCL has the right to also charge an additional £40 for every week your payment is overdue.

  • If your pet is already boarding with SCL and you wish to collect your pet earlier than the date stated on the booking form, you will still be liable for the full amount.

  • If you do not collect your pet on the agreed day then the delay in collection will be chargeable at our current daily prices and any other charges that may apply.

  • Should you fail to collect your pet within 7 days of the end of this contract Small Companion Lodging has the right to pass your pet on to the local RSPCA for re-homing.

  • Any additional charges incurred on top of the boarding fees and services already booked have to be fully settled at the time of the collection of the pet.
